Devon Michigan is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist & naturalist**.** She’s best known for the live sound art project ghost taco. They were a founding member of Vancouver underground music venues the ALF Haus (2002- ), the Secret Location (2005-2020), & the short-lived Death Church (2009-2014) in Montréal. Michigan works for hyper-local arts groups with queer, anti-racist, anarchist values. She’s also a prep and line cook, specializing in vegan & “whole” food. Michigan’s fine arts training is in theatre, video, film, creative writing, and animation in that order. She has vocal training from various private tutors, and studied community organizing, harm reduction, and peer support with NGOs. Their more recent academic history is in interdisciplinary geography, urbanism, & landscape ecology.
